New York Experimental Producer Suzi Analogue produced the soundscape behind Chromat’s S/S18 runway collection for New York Fashion Week. The shows curator and Chromat founder Becca McCharen-Tran promotes body positivity, celebrating trailblazers in her community such as Leyna Bloom, Emme, a woman who is widely recognized as the first plus-size supermodel, and social media modeling sensation Jordyn Woods. Analogue’s femme infused performance and live set opened up with her unique rendition of Chaka Khan’s “I’m Every Woman,” lacing in tracks from her most recent instrumental series ZONEZ V. 3, which came out earlier this year. She describes the whole experience of making the soundscape as “a very reflective process, just as much as it was a tactical one. Her latest project ZONEZ V3 features the 11-track Audio/Visual tape of original productions paired with 7 visual guides to the music, filmed by emerging filmmaker Souldreamin. ZONEZ V.3 features DJ Earl and DJ Taye of Teklife, rising East-coast MC, Nappy Nappa, Opal Hoyt of Zenizen and more. ZONEZ V.3 is out now on Never Normal Records.
